Mission

One of the major barriers to optimal cardiovascular care in Sub-saharan Africa is a shortage of healthcare professionals with advanced training in the specialty.

In 2020, researchers determined that in Sub-saharan Africa, cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are the most frequent causes of noncommunicable disease deaths, responsible for approximately 13% of all deaths and 37% of all noncommunicable disease deaths. With these numbers, Sub-Saharan Africa bears a disproportionate burden of these conditions.

We are here to Change That

Together, We Can Make a Difference

At the Cardiovascular Education Foundation (CVEF), we believe that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare and the opportunity to live a healthy, fulfilling life. By working together to address the challenges of cardiovascular health in Africa and the African Diaspora, we can make a meaningful impact on the lives of millions of people. Join us as we strive to build a future where cardiovascular diseases are no longer a barrier to health and prosperity.
